Bail is easy
When Jane’s on the scene,
The colors of freedom
Are purple and green!
The Bail System favors the Rich.
“Bail Today, Pay Later©” levels the Field.
The way the Bail system was designed favors people with property and higher incomes. This was not done with malicious intent, but the results are devastating for people without abundant financial resources.
Bail is simply an insurance policy – a way that the Court system uses to insure that a person charged with crime shows up for trial. The “implication” is that people with property and money are considered favorable citizens – citizens that deserve more lenient treatment. So, wealthy people can buy a bail bond and be back on the street whether they present a threat to public safety or not.
People of fewer means, regardless of character, often cannot afford bail. They sit in a jail cell until their trial begins.
Jane Un was appalled by this unfair treatment. She believes everyone should have an equal chance to get bail. That is why she came up with “Bail Today, Pay Later©” because she wanted to level the playing field. With “Bail Today, Pay Later©” the poor, the disadvantaged, and non-property owners can be released just as quickly as the wealthy.
Jane hates injustice. She has been a victim of the system. Your financial situation, ethnicity, or gender should never be something that stands in the way of getting bail.
